Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker Waiting to Make Babies
There’s a new note about Brookie&Andy on E! & of course here you have it.
Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker Waiting to Make Babies
Today 5:55 AM PDT by Marc Malkin
We can only imagine what beautiful kids tennis champ Andy Roddick and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker will have some day.
However, Decker says she and her hunky hubby are in no rush to start a family…
“Not to namedrop because that’s really lame, but I ran into Fergie one time and she said to me, ‘Once you get married, people are going to ask, when are you having babies? So just get ready for it. It’s going to be so annoying,’ ” Decker, 23, told me at the Guys Choice Awards, which air Sunday on Spike TV.
“And she’s so right. So my answer is, we’re obviously waiting. We’re young and we’re focused on our careers and being together right now.”
The two got hitched a little over a year ago in Roddick’s Austin, Texas, home.
Decker said she will spend three weeks with Roddick, 27, in Europe this summer. “I’m just going to be a wife,” she smiled. “I’m just going to go and be a wife and be a plain Jane. I’m so excited.”
As for that namedropping, it’s going to be pretty hard for Decker to avoid if her career keeps going the way it is. She recently shot her first movie, Just Go With It, in Hawaii opposite Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman and Adam Sandler.
“Talk about intimidating,” Decker said. “I was shaking. But to have them around you, they were so encouraging. I mean it was my first film and to have them as teachers? You can’t top that. So I really had to pep talk myself and say, ‘Use this as a learning experience,’ and I did. But yeah, I was shaking.”
It’s Official: Brooklyn is the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’
We’re so happy for this, but after a lot of time finally the voting of Esquire’s contest for ‘Sexiest Woman Alive 2010′ it’s over! & our girl Brooklyn is the winner
Brooklyn Decker Is Your 2010 Sexiest Woman Alive
Six rounds, sixty-four competitors, and five-million votes later, one supermodel stands alone atop the (fake) podium in Esquire’s readers’-choice tournament. Revisit her many shining moments after the slow-motion replay below.
BROOKLYN, New York — The most beautiful tennis trophy ever is taking home the first-ever Sexiest Woman Alive Madness trophy.
Twenty-three-year-old Brooklyn Decker dominated the veteran Heidi Klum on her home court here this past week in the finals of Esquire’s upset-laden, fan-favorite bracket. The blond captured 89 percent of the vote for a championship run nobody — with the possible exception of Seal, who was home taking care of Klum’s newborn baby — really saw coming.
“I was very surprised to make it this far in the tournament,” Decker said in a courtside interview before the last game. (She rushed off the court with head coach Andy Roddick immediately after the buzzer and delayed her victory speech.) “I mean, did you see the picture of me picking my nose? I’ve had a very lucky year with the Sports Illustrated cover, the new movie, and now this. Let’s hope good things come in threes.”
They certainly do, as the swimsuit model proved she wasn’t the only superstar in a gold uniform capable of a triple-double this June: Decker busted out 32, 24, and 34 in the kind of performance not seen since February, when she scored big in Sports Illustrated‘s Maldives Invitational. After hustling out to an early lead, the Ohio native got aggressive with Klum, employing her signature cartwheel move — which led to huge mid-round victories over three Victoria’s Secret models — in maneuvering through the key for easy buckets in the first half.
“I think my general physical prowess, whether it’s cartwheels or being able to stand in cold water for long periods of time, could only serve me well,” Decker said.
Klum recovered well after giving birth at halftime, but despite her intimidating presence — “It’s not normal to look that good with three full-time jobs and four children,” Decker admitted — the former SI cover model relinquished another crown to someone cooler under the pressure of public judging.
Hi everyone!
You all know that we’ve been promoting Esquire’s contest, & now Brookie is in the finals against fellow SI Swimsuit & Victoria’s Secret model Heidi Klum. It’s very important for us to make Brookie win, so please vote for her HERE!
As you all know Brookie is in the finals of Esquire’s ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ tournament & she did a little Q&A with the magazine … Here you have it!
Brooklyn Decker, Hustler?
In a courtside chat, the young finalist from the Music and Fashion region claims she doesn’t stand a chance against her versatile swimsuit predecessor. And we don’t believe one word of it.

We knew Brooklyn Decker was serious when she blew out George Clooney’s pal in the first round of Sexiest Woman Alive Madness 2010. But then, despite wearing her trademark yellow uniform, came a move no one expected — a play so well designed we’re surprised Phil Jackson hasn’t broken it out in those other finals: Decker unveiled the bikini cartwheel, and swiftly defeated not one, not two, but three Victoria’s Secret models. No wonder she traded water and sand for new teammates Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in the upcoming film Just Go with It, reportedly based on her tournament battle cry. We caught up with her in the middle of what seems, according to her Twitter feed, like a very distracting road schedule. Not that we were really taking her seriously. —Matt Sullivan
ESQUIRE: Were you surprised to make it this far in our little tournament?
BROOKLYN DECKER: I was very surprised to make it this far in the tournament. I mean, did you see the picture of me picking my nose? I’ve had a very lucky year with the Sports Illustrated cover, the new movie, and now this. Let’s hope good things come in threes.
ESQ: Speaking of good things, do you think that cartwheel move helped you power through to the finals?
BD: I think my general physical prowess, whether it’s cartwheels or being able to stand in cold water for long periods of time, could only serve me well.
ESQ: What’s harder — winning this tournament or landing the SI swimsuit cover?
BD: The Sports Illustrated cover took five years to get, so I’m going to have to go with the cover. I’ve had some pretty fierce competition for the tournament, though, so I’m not discounting that.
ESQ: What’s harder — winning this tournament or beating Roger Federer?
BD: Are you asking me if I think I could beat Roger Federer in this tournament? If so, I think it really depends on the Esquire readers’ penchant for chest hair.
ESQ: What’s your game plan for the last round?
BD: Perhaps more cartwheels?
ESQ: Your opponent, Heidi Klum, is a veteran. Does she intimidate you?
BD: Absolutely! It’s not normal to look that good with three full-time jobs and four children. She’s Superwoman. You can’t beat Superwoman.
ESQ: Who’s a better coach in playoff crunch time — Andy Reid, or Andy Roddick?
Maybe some of you already knew this, but i decided to make things clear about it today. As you probably read it here, Brooklyn was one of the girls considered to be the new leading lady in the ‘Transformers’ movie, but now we can confirm that she’s NOT going to do it. It was already confirmed in Michael Bay’s official site that the role went to fellow model Rosie Hintington-Whiteley.
We all wanted to see Brookie doing the movie, but now let’s just wait for more amazing modeling work & remember that in February, 2011 we’re going to see her in ‘Just Go With It’
