DIARY: Brooklyn Decker’s Icy Arrival to the Super Bowl

Posted by andre with No Comments

ET guest correspondent Brooklyn Decker takes us along on her personal Super Bowl journey, beginning with a posh private jet ride and ending on the snowy, icy streets of Dallas.

“How is it driving? Can you still feel the ice,” Brooklyn asks her driver, who confirms that the roads are still plenty slippery. She adds that earlier in the day: “We were driving blind on the freeway and cars were sliding all over.”

But the ‘Just Go With It’ actress takes it all in stride, saying she’s still managing to have a fun time preparing for Sunday’s Super Bowl in Dallas despite the gloomy weather and treacherous travel.

The Super Bowl media day

They might have made it to Super Bowl XLV, but how do the Green Bay Packers players fare when it comes to their pop culture knowledge? ET’s Kevin Frazier and guest correspondent Brooklyn Decker find out!

The ‘Just Go With It’ actress and Kevin quizzed the footballers during the Super Bowl media day, asking them to name the three older Kardashian sisters (Kim, Khloé and Kourtney) and the “American Idol” judges (Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler).

One player surprised Kevin and Brooklyn when they asked him to name the reality show responsible for the fist pump (“Jersey Shore”). Safety Atari Bigby responded, “Arsenio Hall.” Kevin deemed that “the best answer of the day.”

Watch the video to see if these Green Bay Packers can define “Bieber Fever” and if they know how many kids Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have. Also, check back with ETonline on Wednesday to see how the Pittsburgh Steelers did with their pop culture quiz.

Body Confidence Tips from Brooklyn Decker

Body Confidence Tips from Brooklyn Decker

“I just try to be the best version of myself,” says Brooklyn Decker. “Once I settled into that idea, I felt much more comfortable with myself and what I could do.” Get her tips for looking and feeling your best, all the time.
Find the silver lining. “I moved [to New York] to be a fashion model. I wanted to do runway. I wanted to be in the pages of these high fashion magazines, and I failed miserably. That’s how I ended up doing stuff like Sports Illustrated. Because my want for this high fashion supermodel life completely failed. You look for pictures. There will not be one picture of me walking on a runway. It’s not because I didn’t try, it’s because I failed at it. Now, I’m doing movies. So it definitely worked out for the better.”
Think about what you can vs. can’t do. “When when I started modeling, I used to worry about what I shouldn’t eat. Don’t eat carbs, don’t eat this, don’t eat that. Instead of restricting yourself, just fill your body with goodness–antioxidants, fiber, protein. When you start thinking of food as fuel, your mentality changes for the better.”
Consider capability over vanity. “When I first started modeling, I really hung onto the size of my body. Now, it’s so much more about capability. When I’m filming and I can go hiking for four miles or lift something heavy in a scene and I don’t get exhausted, that’s where I notice the benefits of exercise. It’s not about size. It’s about endurance, how much I can lift, how strong I feel. I’m a lot stronger, because my body is healthy and I’m not concerned with size. It took me a long while to get here, but I really appreciate it.”
Have a realistic role model. “Heidi [Klum] and I have similar bodies. We’re both athletic and we both have curves. That was not and still isn’t so accepted in the fashion world. There was a lot of pressure from designers and photographers, and you can imagine the kind of mental toll that takes on you. You put so much stock into trying to be skinny and you put so much stress on your body. You can’t wreck your body like that that, especially that young. I have an enormous amount of respect for [Heidi] and the way she’s gone about her work.”

New Video of Brooklyn filming ‘Just Go With It’

Posted by andre with No Comments

“A light goes off in his light bulb-looking head already, and then Brooklyn Decker‘s character, Palmer, is the one he thinks he falls for pretty hard, and she thinks he’s married because she discovers the ring — and then fake wife McGee over here shows up.”

“I have to help him save himself from his own web of lies,” says Jennifer about her character, who is the assistant/receptionist to Adam’s plastic surgeon.

“He decides this girl might be the one for him,” says Brooklyn, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, about her math teacher character. “And so he gets caught up in this whole web of lies to basically try to convince Palmer that he’s a decent guy, and there’s all sorts of twists and turns, and he ends up with the right person in the end.”

Adam is producing the movie under his own Happy Madison banner, which is responsible for many of his own hits, such as ‘Click,’ ’50 First Dates’ and last summer’s ‘Grown Ups.’ Happy Madison also produces films for Adam’s buddies including Rob Schneider, David Spade and Kevin James, with titles ranging from ‘Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo’ to ‘The Benchwarmers’ and ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop.’
