You can take your picture with Brooklyn

Yes, you can take your picture with this woman. Esquire has joined with Goldrun, a technology firm, to create a unique new experiment in Augmented Reality. As part of it, you’re about to be in the photos above. On your phone.

First, make sure you’re using an iPhone (the only way it’ll work) and download the free Goldrun app. Then, head to one of more than 700 Barnes & Noble stores across America. (Go to to find one near you.)

Once you’re in the store, find the magazine section, activate the GoldRun app, hold up your phone so you can see the store and/or its immediate surroundings on the screen, and before long an image of Brooklyn (not unlike the ones above) will appear on your screen next to, on top of, or near whatever else is happening in the store. It’ll look like she’s actually there in the store with you, and you can snap a picture of her, have a friend take your picture with her, and pretend that you actually saw and/or met Brooklyn Decker.
