Joe Morton, Geoff Stults Join Netflix’s ‘Grace and Frankie’

7:00 AM PDT 8/22/2014 by Lesley Goldberg

Scandal Emmy-winner Joe Morton, Enlisted’s Geoff Stults and Spin City’s Barry Bostwick have boarded the comedy starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The single-camera comedy centers on nemeses Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), whose lives are turned upside down when their husbands announce they are in love with each other and plan to get married. The women, much to their dismay, find that their lives are permanently intertwined and, much to their surprise, find they have each other.

Stults will recur as Mitch, Mallory’s (Brooklyn Decker) husband of seven years. The character is an OBGYN and father of two who is always on call and trying to do the best he can with juggling his husband/father and doctor duties. Stults, who most recently starred in CBS’ comedy pilot Cuz-Bros, toplined Fox’s short-lived critical darling Enlisted. The comedy remains in contention for a second season at Yahoo Screen. Stults is repped by UTA and Thruline.

Morton will appear as Jason, one of Frankie and Sol’s (Sam Waterston) oldest, dearest friends. In future episodes he will not only help Frankie navigate the world of divorce, but he will also help Sol grow more comfortable being “out.” Morton, who is poised to return to Scandal during its upcoming fourth season, will next co-star in TNT’s new drama series Proof. He’s repped by TalentWorks and Vanguard Management.

Bostwick is set as Bill, an old friend of Grace and Robert’s (Martin Sheen) who is also newly divorced and knows exactly what Grace is going through. The question is: Could he be the answer to her problems? The role marks a reunion with Stults and Morton after Bostwick guest-starred on Fox’s Enlisted and ABC’s Scandal, respectively. (Yes, Scandal fans, Fitz’s father and Olivia’s dad are both going to be on the new Netflix comedy.) He’s repped by TalentWorks and Vanguard Management.

Grace and Frankie is slated for a 2015 debut and is written and created by Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris (TBS’ Sullivan & Son, According to Jim, Home Improvement). Kauffman, Morris, Paula Weinstein, Fonda, Tomlin and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross are on board to executive produce. Tate Taylor (The Help) also serves as executive producer and will direct the first episode.

Model and actress Brooklyn Decker stepped out in a gorgeous black strapless jumpsuit on the red carpet at The Hill’s and Entertainment Tonight’s celebration of the 100th White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Decker stopped to talk with ET’s Nancy O’Dell about politics, acting, and who she would like to have play her if they make a movie about her in the future.
“This would be a dip for her, like if she were playing me it would mean her career has fallen off the map because she’s amazing, but I think that Kristen Wiig and I are like spirit sisters,” said Decker. “I feel that we’re as weird as each other… I think the sensibilities are similar between the two of us.”

Decker also reveals that her inspiration for the special Washington D.C. weekend is actress Robin Wright, star of House Of Cards.
“I look at here and I’m like, ‘She’s the perfect mix of Hollywood and D.C.’ It’s great,” said Decker.
Check out the video for more from the gorgeous Decker, who is currently starring in the CBS sitcom Friends With Better Lives, which airs Mondays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.

Brooklyn Decker reveals why she’s anything but a perfect 10!

Posted by andre with No Comments

When you think of Brooklyn Decker what comes to mind? Yes, she is a beautiful, albeit retired, model turned actress. She’s married to retired tennis player, Andy Roddick. She’s got a new CBS sitcom “Friends with Better Lives”. So far, there’s little to make one think her life is anything but perfection. But not so fast. The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model sat down with’s Carey Reilly to reveal that she’s a friend with just kind of a better life than you, but perfect it is not.

First of all, she’s named after a horse, of course. “I’m named after a horse of all things,” said Decker. “It’s very strange. My parents have a very strange sense of humor. My mom loved the name Brooke and as a joke my dad said ‘Let’s name her Brooklyn!’ and my mom loved it. I had never been to Brooklyn, ended up living there for a couple years.” Okay, so the name doesn’t have perfect origins, but it’ll do! Second, she says she wasn’t the perfect ten model.

“I was very lucky Sports Illustrated gave me a chance and loved me but I did not work outside of Sports Illustrated. Truly, I was not a good model. I swear on everything. I’ve never walked a runway. It’s like a best kept secret that I was not, like, a working model. I studied acting for a really long time and I loved it and auditioned and auditioned and just got lucky. The second I started booking things I was like ‘Peace out, modeling! You don’t like me and I don’t like you!'”

Third, the 5’10” stunner says she’s got physical imperfections that she shows off with zeal. “I have tingers! Toe-fingers! They’re the most disgusting feet you’ve ever seen in your life. I can spread them apart and grab things. I have tingers and I’m fighting a massive case of chin acne.” She showed us both and that still has us questioning her campaign of imperfection.

Lest we go on, Decker is celebrating 5 years of blissful marriage to Andy Roddick, who she says, does a lot of the heavy-lifting in her household especially when it comes to cleaning. “Only because I’m such a slob that someone has to pick up the slack and it’s not me. He’s usually pretty sloppy but he’s like ‘You’re a disaster so I gotta help a little bit.'” Decker is now living out her dream job along side stars like James Van Der Beek on their new sitcom “Friends with Better Lives.”

She’s quick to mention that the comedy truly comes from behind the scenes. “We do have great writers. We are very lucky. I feel like that: our writing and our chemistry with the cast… is what makes it.” And one funny retired model with “tingers” too. Watch Brooklyn on “Friends with Better Lives” Monday nights at 8:30 on CBS.
