EW Hangout with “Friends With Better Lives” stars James van der Beek and Brooklyn Decker

After Monday’s series finale of How I Met Your Mother, a new gang of friends is going to vie for your hearts via CBS’s new comedy, Friends with Better Lives.
And to celebrate the series premiere, EW is hosting a Google+ Hangout with two of the show’s stars, James Van Der Beek and Brooklyn Decker.

Brooklyn Decker and More CBS Stars Set for 2014 SXSW!

CBS is bound for SXSW with fun meet-and-greets, activities and giveaways! The schedule, which spans from Friday, March 7 through Wednesday, March 12, is as follows:

#FWBL Happy Hour with Brooklyn Decker and Zoe Lister-Jones:

Toast and mingle with Brooklyn Decker and Zoe Lister-Jones, stars of CBS’s upcoming new comedy series FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES, at a Friends with Better Wine Happy Hour from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 7 at the Cru Wine Bar (238 W. 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701). First-come, first-served. Friends with Better Lives premieres Monday, March 31, and also stars Kevin Connolly, Majandra Delfino, James Van Der Beek and Rick Donald. (@fwblCBS)
From Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9, fans can score a free ride to their next local destination in specially domed pedi-cabs, designed as an homage to the Network’s hit summer series UNDER THE DOME. The back of the vehicles are also branded with the tagline, “What’s Outside Comes Inside,” which offers a clue as to what’s in store for the town’s inhabitants on the series this summer. Under the Dome returns for its sophomore season Monday, June 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT). The premiere episode will be written by Stephen King, whose bestselling novel inspired the series. Attendees can stay connected in the midst of all of the SXSW activities with free and exclusive android/iPhone chargers, which are branded with EXTANT, CBS’s highly anticipated summer series starring Halle Berry – and are fully charged, so no outlet is necessary. Street teams will distribute the chargers from Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9 from a roving Extant pedi-cab. EXTANT, premiering Wednesday, July 2(9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), is a mystery thriller about a female astronaut (Berry) trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. CBS announces ‘Friends With Better Lives’ premiere date

Today CBS has finally announced the premiere date for Brooklyn’s new sit-com Friends with Better Lives, it will March 31st following the series finale of How I Met Your Mother.

The How I Met Your Mother gang will suit up for the final time on Monday, March 31st with a one-hour series finale beginning at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. The network is hoping you will be ready to trade in one set of buddies for another as their new series Friends with Better Lives launches immediately following the finale event. Friends with Better Lives focuses on six friends all at different stages of their lives who are all pretending to be happy while secretly envying each other’s lifestyles.

Once Ted Mosby finally meets the mother of his kids, CBS will reshuffle their Monday night lineup so that 2 Broke Girls kicks off the evening at 8pm beginning April 14th. Meanwhile, Friends with Better Lives will benefit from a The Big Bang Theory (repeat) lead-in on April 7th before premiering in its 8:30pm regular timeslot.
